  • What is Rush?
Rush is a three night event, held at the beginning of the Fall and Spring semesters, where we invite you to come and meet the brothers of our chapter. At our informational nights, you will learn what is required of you throughout the pledging process, some of the benefits of being a brother, and see first hand what our fraternity is all about. You are only required to come to one night of rush, but more is encouraged. If you absolutely can not make it to any of the nights of rush, please email our Vice Master Alchemist, Jonathan Rider, jbr21d@fsu.edu.
  • What is Pledging?
After completing rush, prospective members that our chapter feels will help us further the objects of our fraternity will receive a bid and an invitation to be pinned, which marks the beginning of pledging. Should you choose to accept our invitation, you will begin the semester-long process of becoming a brother. All of the requirements of pledging will be explained in full at our information nights. Although the process may seem like a lot, all brothers have completed the same process and we work to make it enjoyable for you by providing you with a "Big" and various social activities with the brothers. If you still have concerns and questions about the pledging process, please email our Vice Master Alchemist, Jonathan Rider, jbr21d@fsu.edu.
  • Does being a brother of AXS mean I can not join a social fraternity/sorority?
Absolutely not! We have several brothers that are also members of social fraternities and sororities and other professional/service fraternities.
  • I thought fraternities were only for men...
We use the definition of fraternity in the broadest term, an organization named by Greek letters. We are made up of both men and women, and all of us refer to ourselves as brothers.
  • What if I still have questions?
Awesome! We appreciate your interest and ask that you send any further question to our email: axsigmafsu@gmail.com
