About Us
Alpha Chi Sigma is a professional chemistry fraternity, which strives to further and promote interest in chemistry and the chemical profession as a whole. Lifetime membership is open to any professional or collegiate person who possesses a strong interest and love for chemistry. As a professional fraternity, Alpha Chi Sigma's goal is to bridge the gap between students and professionals working in the field of chemistry. As a chapter, we achieve this through various Professional and Service activities that allow us to give back to our alumni, FSU's Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry, and our Tallahassee community. All majors are welcome to join!
Joining any professional fraternity can be a very rewarding experience. Our brothers aim to succeed both academically and professionally and Alpha Chi Sigma provides them with the opportunities necessary to do so. Our chapter is very active at our university and in our community, and we would love to give you more information about what it means to be a brother at one of our three rush nights. Rush takes place in the beginning of the Fall and Spring semesters, typically during the second or third week of class.
As of summer 2022, there is no academic requirement for
membership, although preference for potential members will be given to those who are in STEM-related majors. We ask that all rushees attend at least one of our three nights of rush, and one informational night for the semester in which they wish to pledge.
